Individual Therapy for Adults

Individual Therapy for Relationship Issues

A space to sort through what's happening in your relationships, at your own pace, one-to-one.

Relationships can be complicated.

You can understand why someone behaves the way they do and still decide you don't want to be treated that way. You can love someone and still need boundaries. And sometimes you can know a relationship isn't working for you but still feel completely stuck about what to do next.

Therapy can give you a place to sort through what's happening without someone telling you what you should do. We'll look at the patterns that keep showing up, what you need from your relationships, and how you want to show up in them.

What We Can Work On

Sound familiar?

✓Difficulty setting or maintaining boundaries
✓Feeling unheard, dismissed, or disconnected
✓Recurring conflict with a partner, family member, or friend
✓Trust issues or difficulty rebuilding trust
✓People-pleasing or difficulty saying no
✓Repeating relationship patterns you don't fully understand
✓Family dynamics and difficult family relationships
✓Relationship transitions, separation, or estrangement
✓Difficulty communicating what you need
✓Trying to decide what you want from a relationship

Therapy isn't about telling you what to do.

My job isn't to decide who is right, whether you should stay or leave, or what your relationships should look like. We'll work together to understand what's happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and help you make choices that line up with what matters to you.

Along the way, therapy may involve exploring boundaries and how to hold them, communication patterns, attachment and relationship history, emotional regulation, and the values that guide what you want from the people in your life. A big part of the work is learning to sit with difficult emotions without automatically reacting to them, so you can respond in ways that actually reflect what matters to you.

My approach incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when they fit, weaving them in naturally so the work stays grounded in your life and your relationships rather than feeling like a textbook.
